View Article  Active Month for Sales - May.

This has been an active month for sales at Bahama Bay Resort. There are eleven apartments waiting to close and most of these are next month or later this. Once they do close then we shall be better able to understand the price trend as it is at present. Essentially there are four San Salvador's, three Andros and four Abacos apartments waiting to close. Two Andros apartments have closed one was listed at $139000 and sold for $139000 and the other listed at $149000 sold for $120000. A Gran Bahama also closed and listed at $169900 and sold for $175000. This one really bucked the trend!!

At present there are six San Salvador's listed at between $124900 and $215000, seven Andros at between $139900 and $169000, ten Abacos at between $129900 and $250000 and last but not least just two Gran Bahama's at $215000 and $235000 respectively.

As I said earlier I am looking forward to next month to see what the current trend in prices is and to check if the present activity is going to continue. With now only 25 apartments for sale the inventory is reduced and it will be interesting to see if sales hold up overall. I will report accordingly in my June feature.

So you can see there is still plenty to choose from and Bahama Bay Resort is now providing a good opportunity to invest.

If you feel I can be of any help either listing your apartment for sale, acting in a purchase or just for advice please do not hesitate to call or email.

View Article  What's New At Tradewinds Restaurant.

I have had an update of what's new at Tradewinds Restaurant from John Begin the General Manager and Director of Food and Beverage at Bahama Bay Resort.

A new WiFi service has been installed and services the area around the restaurant and the pool. The good news is it is entirely free of charge. This is in addition to the service at the Club House.

A new Chef has been appointed and there is already good feedback from guests as to quality of menu selections.

Karaoke is offered from 7.00 p.m. until 10.00 p.m. Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The 10.00 p.m. deadline is strictly enforced to ensure guests who wish to retire are not inconvenienced.

Live entertainment is also being introduced both at Tradewinds and at The Club House and only last Saturday night C.W.Post entertained guests with his guitar and songs in the Caribbean style. Hopefully more of his shows will be added during the coming Summer Season at Bahama Bay Resort. I am told his last performance was well received.

So plenty going on at Tradewinds all of which will add to your enjoyment and to what is being offered at Bahama Bay Resort.

View Article  Epcot Flower and Garden Festival - 2008.

My wife and I and our next door neighbor had the opportunity to visit the Flower and Garden Festival last evening. Epcot is looking very colorful and there are many new Disney characters, or at least ones I haven't seen before, depicted in shrubbery. You can check out some of them in the accompanying photo tour under Epcot Flower and Garden Festival - 2008. You must look out for Lady and the Tramp. It is my favorite.

We visited the Neverland Garden with Captain Hook, Peter Pan and the alligator and also the Butterfly Garden sponsored by Clarityn. On the way there many other gardens with some featuring sculptures by artists who live in Florida.

Performing on  stage was B.J.Thomas who is probably most famous for "Raindrops Keep Fallin on your Head". He was great to watch and I was sorry the performance only lasted about a half hour. He was one of many artistes appearing at Epcot during the Flower and Garden Festival and some others due to perform were The Searchers, Gary Pucket and Jose Feliciano to name but a few.

After the performance we had some time before dinner and we went to see the Images of France presentation in the French section. I am so glad we did. The presentation was a film on a huge wraparound screen and it was as though you were flying over the French countryside from north to south and east to west. Some of the Chateaux scenes and those of Paris were breathtaking. It lasted only about eighteen minutes but quite honestly it could have gone on longer and you would still have been spellbound. It was one of the best eighteen minutes I have spent.

We had dinner at Chefs De France and very good the meal was too. The service was quick and attentive and everyone was determined to make the evening memorable for all the right reasons. I started with a rustic plate of pate and chacuterie followed by roast duck with sweet potato and green beans. Being a Brit I had to finish with cheese and it was a good selection on the plate which they normally serve as a starter. A nice bottle of Syrah accompanied the meal which was finished just before the Firework Display which can  be seen every evening.

Altogether a great afternoon and evening out which will be remembered for a long time. That is what it is all about at the Disney parks.

Hope you can make the time to visit and make Bahama Bay Resort the center for your vacation.
